After a few days of “Are we hauling out today?” we finally made the move last night. It was a race against light (6:30pm is not a great time to start) and nasty weather on its way to us. It was a bit rocky as the wind made it less than perfect for getting the Riggin into the cradle, but we did, and are now at North End Shipyard. This morning we had our Coast Guard inspection and this afternoon we’ll start with the power wash to get all the grime of the bottom and prepare her for a paint job tomorrow when it’s not raining. We’ll be up for a few days and then splash early next week. We’ve been incredibly lucky to have had such a nice spring, makes hauling out this early not terrible.
