Riggin Repairs: Update

Dsc02289
The work down in Boothbay, Maine has been progressing nicely.  We are fairly done ripping out and almost ready to start putting things back together.  It’s bitter cold here today and pretty tough working outside in single digit weather, but when you are moving and pounding and lifting heavy wood, it’s not too bad.  And working under the cover helps too.  As for previous mentions of freezing planks, we drained any water that was in the bilge and had a pretty good thaw for things to dry out.  As a precaution, we poured antifreeze into the bilges in the places where there is standing water with no way to get to it.  Photo credit:  Joe Orchulli II
